The Westbrook Republican City Committee announces that the Westbrook Republican Caucus will be held at 7:00pm on Sunday, September 11, 2011, in the Westbrook Community Center, 426 Bridge Street. The purpose of the caucus is to select Republican candidates for the November 2011 municipal election.
All voters registered in the Republican Party are invited to attend, participate, and vote. The Registrar of Voters or Deputy will be present at 6:30pm for those who need to register or for the unenrolled to enroll in order to participate in the caucus.
Candidates for Mayor, City Clerk, two (2) City Council Members at Large, one (1) School Committee Member at Large, plus Warden and Clerk for Central Voting will be chosen.
Ward Caucuses for Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 will be held to choose candidates for City Council, Warden, and Ward Clerk in each ward. One candidate will be chosen for School Committee Member in each of Wards 1, 2, and 5.

The Westbrook Republican Caucus will be on Saturday, March 6, 2010, at 10:00am at the Westbrook Middle School cafeteria, 471 Stroudwater Street, Westbrook, Maine. The purpose of this caucus is to:
Candidates for governor, Maine legislature, state office, and county office may also be at the caucus and will be invited to address the group. Many candidates are still looking for signatures on their campaign petitions … and also for $5.00 contribution checks if they are running on clean election funds. So please bring your checkbook and a pen so that you can help! Clean election contributions can also be made online at http://www.maine.gov/online/ethics/cleanelections.
If you are planning to attend the convention as a delegate or alternate, you will also need to pay your $25.00 registration fee at the caucus … another reason to bring your checkbook and a pen!
A representative from the City Clerk’s office will be at the caucus so that unenrolled voters can enroll in the Republican party in order to participate in the caucus.

The tentative date for the Republican municipal caucus is Sunday, August 30, 2009. As soon as we confirm a location we will publish that information. Any Westbrook voter enrolled in the Republican party who wishes to run for municipal office as a Republican must be nominated and approved at this caucus. If you are interested in running for municipal office as a Republican, please plan to attend the caucus.
